Sometimes I forget how truly technologically advanced I am, as evidenced by this little conversation I had this morning:

ME: "... and you can send that over to us electronically...."

CUSTOMER: "oh, okay... that means through the computer, right?"

My father-in-law needs step-by-step directions to do anything on the computer other than check his email via the AOL portal. And he writes said directions in a big yellow legal pad. You can thumb through it and get all kinds of directions for simple tasks. Most of them begin with, "Put the cursor over the Start button and press the LEFT mouse button." God help him.
